Rail Tales: Adventures in Public Transit by Brian Green is the bonus book of the month for December. Rail Tales is a short book filled with interesting encounters Green has had while riding the light rail trains of Sacramento (CA) Regional Transit. While it would be nice if some of the anecdotes were fleshed out a bit more, the inferred main idea is a good one: the interesting experiences one can have on public transit is a good part of transit. Are the eccentric people on transit a good source of interesting experiences or something that makes you get in the car and drive to wherever you need to go?
